Exposure

Prefers sun or partial shade.

Watering

A cool-climate plant, it tolerates heat fairly well, provided it doesn't run out of water during dry spells.

Planting

Plant in soil rich in organic matter, cool and well-drained.

Fertilization

Fertilize in early spring with an all-purpose fertilizer.

Harvest

Harvest for the first time when the stems have reached 15 to 20 cm in height. Pick small stems, leaving only 5 to 7 cm at the base, to stimulate new leaf formation. Stems smaller than 5 cm can lead to early dieback.
